WHY LEADERSHIP COACHING MATTERS

Leadership coaching is a well-established practice in the business world, but it is still a relatively new concept for educational leaders. However, research has shown that supporting educational leaders, particularly campus leaders, leads to improved academic outcomes for students. Leadership coaching services help school leaders maintain focus on goals and avoid the implementation dip. The National Institute for Excellence in Teaching advocates for leadership coaching for principals, as it enables them to better support and coach their teachers.

Professional learning and development services are crucial for establishing a high-performance learning culture and supporting strong student learning outcomes. Effective professional learning is collaborative, inquiry-focused, and embedded in teaching practice. It should be guided by the needs of the students and reflect the broader school's strategic direction. Professional learning is most effective when identified collaboratively by school leaders and teachers as they reflect on how their work contributes to the school's improvement goals.

COACHING CAMPUS LEADERS

With over 25 years of experience in public education, as well as training and experience in Leadership Coaching, we understand the importance of providing a safe environment for campus leaders to grow and develop. Evaluators often cannot provide that safe space, and principal supervisors have limited time to coach. Coaching provides a different approach and avenue to reach goals and dreams, resulting in increased achievement and cultural outcomes.
